Here I describe one of a series of errors made by the purveyors and users of many commercially available metabolic screening systems. The consequences of these errors can be dire.
This particular error (and, in case you're wondering, Part 1 was about lack of traceability; you can read the details here), is lack of concern about - or even knowledge of - the fact that the majority of metabolic measurements on small model animals such as mice are quite misleading.
